Finding the plant
The works is in Zhouzhuang Town, in the east of Jiangyin City, on the south bank of the Yangtze between Shanghai and Nanjing. Wuxi Shuofang International Airport is the closest arrival point at 30 km. Shanghai Hongqiao and Pudong are 160 km away, about two hours by road, or take the high-speed rail to Jiangyin and a short taxi from there. Send the flight or train number a day ahead and a pickup can be arranged.

Visits and audits
Customer audits, supplier qualification visits, pre-shipment inspections and third-party witness testing are all welcome, including witnessed testing by BV, DNV, LR, SGS and TUV against EN 10204 3.2. The whole production chain is on one site, so a single walk covers the melt shop, the presses and ring mills, the heat-treatment furnaces, the machine shop and the laboratory.
Arrange the date by email in advance so an English-speaking engineer is free and the production stage you want to see is running that day. An invitation letter for a business visa can be issued on request; send the audit checklist ahead so documents are ready.

How long does it take to get a quotation?
Normally two working days from a complete enquiry. A complete enquiry states the grade, the dimensions or a drawing, the quantity, the delivery condition, the testing and certification requirements, and the destination.
Incomplete enquiries need a round trip of questions first, which is the usual reason a price takes longer than it should.
Where is the factory and how do I get there?

Do you sell from stock, or make to order?
Make to order. Jiangyin Jiangnan Metal is a manufacturer, not a stockist or a trading company. Every forging is produced to a customer drawing or specification, from steel melted at the works.
Minimum order is 10 kg with no minimum piece count, and normal lead time is 20 to 60 days depending on whether the grade needs a remelting step. Details of the plant are in the melt shop and equipment sections.
What languages does the sales team work in?
English and Chinese. Drawings, specifications and mill certificates are issued in English.
Technical questions on material grades, heat treatment condition, testing scope and certification level are answered by an engineer rather than passed along, because the melt shop, the forge and the laboratory are on the same site.
