36HNM, 40KHN2MA and 40ChGNM are different names for the same chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy structural steel. It is normally supplied quenched and tempered. The closest European grades are 36CrNiMo4 (1.6511) and 34CrNiMo6 (1.6582).
